At the Leipzig Tango Festival, outstanding dancers are not the only ones taking center stage. Music is given its own special place as well – with a unique project:

THE LTFestival ORCHESTRA

From Thursday to Sunday, tango musicians come together to rehearse with renowned international musicians under the direction of ROGER HELOU, developing the distinctive sound of a tango orchestra.

In intensive workshops, the focus is on technique, ensemble playing and interpretation, but above all on the experience of being part of a real tango orchestra: breathing together, listening to one another, shaping dynamics and creating that special energy that defines Argentine Tango.

Over the course of these days, the LTFestival ORCHESTRA takes shape – an ensemble created especially for the Leipzig Tango Festival.

And what has been developed together during the festival belongs on stage:

On Sunday evening, 23 May 2027, the LTFestival Orchestra will perform live at the Night Milonga.

A special project for musicians who want not only to play tango, but to experience it together and bring it to life on the dance floor.
