Founded in Europe in 2001, SILENCIO has become one of the continent’s most acclaimed tango orchestras. Inspired by the timeless sound of Carlos Di Sarli, Roberto Biagi and Alfredo Gobbi, the ensemble combines authentic tango tradition with its own distinctive musical voice.

With musicians from Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Germany, Italy and the USA, SILENCIO has performed at major European festivals as well as legendary tango venues in Buenos Aires. Four albums, a live DVD and more than two decades of international performances testify to an orchestra driven by elegance, intensity and a deep passion for tango.

The LTFestival Orchestra brings together ambitious tango musicians and renowned international tango artists. Experienced professionals meet passionate musicians who share a love of tango and the experience of playing together in an orchestra.
